" In the designation of sea lanes and the prescription of traffic separation schemes under this article, the coastal State shall take into account: (a) the recommendations of the competent international organization; (b) any channels customarily used for international navigation; (c) the special characteristics of particular ships and channels; and (d) the density of traffic."
DEFINITION OF TERMS IN THIS CLAUSE
➡ land beside or near to the sea or ocean
➡ the salt water that covers most of the earth's surface and surrounds its continents and islands
➡ an official route at sea usually designate or prescribe by the coastal State for the regulation of passage traffic. It is regularly used by ships and other sea vessels during passage.
➡ a large boat that carries people or goods across the seas or oceans
