Fishing - meaning and illustration

 (c) “fishing” means:

•  (i) searching for, catching, taking or harvesting fish;
•  (ii) attempting to search for, catch, take or harvest fish;
•  (iii) engaging in any other activity which can reasonably be expected to result in the locating, catching, taking or harvesting of fish;
•  (iv) placing, searching for or recovering fish aggregating devices or associated electronic equipment such as radio beacons;
•  (v) any operations at sea directly in support of, or in preparation for any activity described in this paragraph; or
•  (vi) aircraft use, relating to the activities described in this paragraph except for flights in emergencies involving the health or safety of crew members or the safety of a vessel;

fishing activity means—

• (a)taking fish; or
• (b)purchasing, selling, possessing or using fishing apparatus regulated under a regulated fishing apparatus declaration.

Fishery or fishing, within the context of this law, means the act of capturing or of harvesting any fishery resources or any activity that may lead to the harvesting or capturing of fishery resources, including the proper management and use of the aquatic environrnent, with a view to protecting the animal species therein by the total or partial control of their life cycle.

fishing means fishing for, catching or attempting to catch fish by any method; (pêche)

"fishing" means,

 “fishing” means—
(a) searching for or taking of fish;
(b) the attempted searching for or taking of fish;

"fishing" means the catching, taking or harvesting of fish, attempted catching, taking or harvesting of fish and any other activity which can reasonably result in the catching, taking or harvesting of fish;

‘‘fishing’’ means—
(a) searching for, catching, taking or harvesting fish or an attempt to any such activity;

(e) the use of an aircraft in relation to any activity described in this definition;
